Summer 2024 Intern Service Project: Loko I‘a Pa‘aiau
P3I and 14 interns from its partners Nakupuna, USARPAC, SMX, MC3, and Chaminade University recently visited Loko I‘a Pāʻaiau, a fishpond located on Pearl Harbor Bay.

P3I hosted its Intern Meet & Greet at the USS Bowfin on June 17, 2024! Students beginning their internships in the summer, had the opportunity to network with other students and representatives leading their program.
Dept. of Defense Employer Meet & Greet
Jason Chung and Tim Faulkner of P3I attended the Dept. of Defense Employer Meet & Greet hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i on Wednesday, May 1 at Honolulu Community College. Jason and Tim shared an overview of P3I and the many DoD opportunities available here in Hawai‘i.
Educator Externship: National Security Agency
On March 21, 2024, P3I, teachers and counselors representing Hawaii’s schools visited the National Security Agency (NSA).
Educator Externship: U.S. Army Pacific
P3I and the Military Affairs Council of the Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i hosted an externship for local educators learn about the career opportunities within U.S. Army Pacific. The externship highlighted the benefits of having talented local civilians trained in technology skill sets working alongside service members on O‘ahu.

Educator Externship – Naval Warfare Information Center
On July 6, 2023, P3I and 23 teachers, counselors, district resource teachers and state education specialists visited the Naval Warfare Information Center (NIWC).
The Pacific Intelligence and Innovation Initiative (P3I) is managed by the Hawaii Defense Alliance and supported by Hawaiʻi congressional delegates. This program is funded through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering OUSD(R&E). P3I is committed to supporting economic development in Hawaiʻi by creating jobs and opportunities for Hawaiʻi’s students, businesses and military.
