Summer 2024 High School Field Trip: DRFortress

Thank you to Fred Rodi and the DRFortress team for giving the P3I high school students enrolled in courses at UH Manoa and Windward Community College a behind the scenes tour of a real data center! It was an awesome opportunity for the students to see technology in action and learn about the how DRFortress enables the technology they use every day. Photography during the tour was limited due to security reasons. The Pacific Intelligence and Innovation Initiative partnered with Windward Community College and the University of Hawaii at Manoa to provide high school students participating in its summer programs with opportunities to see technology in action. Our goal is to ensure that people in Hawaii are aware of and can take advantage of the opportunities in Hawaii’s defense sector, especially in IT, cybersecurity, data science and intelligence. There are job opportunities in the federal government and the extensive contractor community in Hawaii.
