Kaua‘i Community College

Kaua‘i Community College’s Electronics Technology program offers a Certificate of Achievement and an Associate in Science degree. This program prepares students for electronic technician positions at Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) as civilians and contractors.
Kaua‘i Community College is also working with Waimea High School to offer an early college program at the school.

Booz Allen Hamilton Summer Games

The Summer Games is an intensive, 10-week paid internship program that simulates a real-world startup accelerator. Your mission? Develop breakthrough ideas and solutions for our clients’ most pressing problems.

As an intern, you’ll be paired with Booz Allen mentors and assigned to a cross-functional team where you’ll work together in a collaborative environment to bring your idea to life using techniques like design thinking, agile development, and rapid prototyping.

After 10 weeks, you’ll present your work to a judging panel of Booz Allen leadership. Only one team will win the coveted Summer Games Challenge Cup.

Summer Games internships are open to college undergraduates of all levels, with preference given to rising seniors. You can learn more about the program, future opportunities, and how you can make an impact at Booz Allen by joining the University Talent Community.

NSA Internships

The National Security Agency (NSA) offers internships, scholarships, a co-op program and other programs for students in high school up through doctoral candidates. The application process for all student programs is the same as the job application process. Programs are paid; salary is based on education level. Programs may also offer paid time off, holiday and sick leave, subsidized housing assistance (if eligible) and travel reimbursement (if eligible).

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP)

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) places college and university students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for ten weeks during the summer. NREIP is a competitive program with over 800 placements in 51 laboratories around the country in which many participants go on to careers within the DoN. Interns are selected based upon academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations, and career and research interests.

U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Student Volunteer Internship Program

Headquarters U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) offers opportunities for current and former college graduates through our Student Volunteer Fellowship Program (SVIP). The SVIP provides students with a rewarding and desirable internship opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the diverse environment of INDOPACOM.

This program is open to qualified students interested in joining the next generation of security defense forces in our nations largest combatant command. This program will allow students to explore career opportunities within a professional work environment while learning about the Department of Defense mission and objectives in the Indo-Pacific region. Students will grow in personal and professional skills through mentoring and developmental activities which encourage engagement with other professionals and students.​

Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) Cyber Leadership Development

Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) is an immersive cyber warfighting and leadership summer internship available to undergraduate students, ROTC Cadets, select active duty of similar experience, and select international officers and cadets. The graduate level curriculum covers leadership during crisis situations, the science of mission assurance, the art of cyber warfare, and written/verbal communication skills. Through the ACE program, interns apply what they have learned through challenge problems, practical exercises, and written reflections. They gain a deep understanding of the impact of their leadership, followership, and problem-solving skills on individual and team success in a contested cyber battlespace.

DoD Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Program

The scholarship covers full tuition, annual stipends, internships and guaranteed civilian employment with DoD upon graduation. Applications are currently open through December.

Chaminade University’s SPICE (Supporting Pacific Indigenous Computing Excellence) Program aims to address the underrepresentation of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students in STEM fields, particularly in the area of data science, by providing educational opportunities and leveling the playing field.
