Our 2025 summer internship program is made possible through the support of Hawaii’s Congressional Delegation, the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). We also appreciate the assistance of our partner, the Griffiss Institute, for assisting with security clearances, payroll, and HR matters.
I am an undergraduate senior from the University of Hawaii - West Oahu who has recently graduated. My major is in Cyber Operations. I also have my Associate’s in Networking. My hobbies are computer building, tinkering, video gaming, and drawing. For my senior capstone project, I did a paper on DNS resolvers and another paper on IoT security methods.
Aloha! Currently, I am a student at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa and am studying for a B.S in Computer Science. I’ve recently worked on web development projects that used frameworks like React, Meteor, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Python where our teams focused on financial modeling, managing databases, user interface and design. During this internship, I hope to improve on my technical and soft skills with how professional teams manage the life cycle of a project. I’m excited to learn from everyone in the program and contribute meaningful efforts to our objectives.
I’m originally from American Samoa and moved to Hawai‘i to pursue higher education and create new opportunities for my family and community. I recently graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a degree in Data Science, a minor in Computer Science, and certifications in Environmental Science and Healthcare Informatics. My journey has included working on projects with USARPAC, the NSF REU at TACC, and health equity research—all of which deepened my passion for using data to serve others. I’m especially committed to uplifting underrepresented communities across the Pacific and using technology to make systems more inclusive and effective. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, listening to island music, and staying grounded in my cultural roots.
The Pacific Intelligence and Innovation Initiative (P3I) is managed by the Hawaii Defense Alliance and supported by Hawaiʻi congressional delegates.
